Thanks to SonaaR [link] who found out how to turn off image preview (thumbnails) on folders

This is how U do it:

Download SageThumbs [link] and install it

Then download XnView Plugins [link] and install it

Open folder options (Control Panel/Apperance and Personalization/Folder Options) and check "Always show icons, never thumbnails" under the view tab

One big bonus is that this thumbnail viewer let us see so much more: icns, psd etc
